Afterfall and optional map integrations

Check declared dependency ranges against feature-specific Afterfall API needs, hook fallbacks and inspected optional map versions.

Installation and version scope

Civic Frontier 0.1.0 targets Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge and Java 21. It works without Afterfall. The documented optional bridge needs Afterfall 0.14.0 or newer with add-on API v1; the broader installation allowance does not promise that every bridge feature works. Exact version ranges and dependency ordering are recorded below.

Most civic systems work standalone. The report documents R7 hooks for Afterfall 0.14.0+ / add-on API v1, registered independently. Inspect each registration result; one successful hook does not establish the other three.

Currency and computers

Economy creation with Afterfall selects Supply Tokens; standalone selects Civic Credits. The provider is saved with the world. Adding/removing Afterfall later pauses money actions and asks for a new world, with no inspected automatic conversion.

Civic Trade Notes are disabled in Afterfall mode unless the server enables Civic Notes for Afterfall currency. The server allows fallback creation of public-market tokens by default. Supported powered Afterfall computers can expose the Market app for buying/selling, without the physical interface’s cash actions. The report does not give a separate exact minimum computer-app version; test that feature rather than inferring it from the dependency range.

Independent R7 hooks

HookCivic behaviorFallback / boundary
ClaimsCivic towns/camps provide Afterfall permissions and replace player-team claim managementDo not infer that all old native records are deleted; where Civic does not own land, claims checks can still consult Afterfall
WardVeto qualifying infected materialization in active protected plotsGeneric spawn events and walking-mob handling remain separate
Prison needsPause supported survival needs for actual prisoners inside PenitentiaryWith older Afterfall or missing hook, sentence and safety cap are 60 online minutes
GridVeto regional mains in town claims cut off for unpaid Civic billsBilling defaults off; generators, solar and batteries retain their own behavior

Normal town/nation sentence maxima are 60/240 minutes with the working needs hook; the general online safety cap is 8 hours. Civic nations, jobs, claims and currency are not interchangeable with Afterfall’s native systems. Only the documented bridge changes the stated ownership/behavior.

Civic can permit warrant combat on no-PvP civic land, while Afterfall’s earlier PvP damage denial may still block lethal capture. Surrender and asleep capture are separate paths. See justice.

Optional map targets

AdapterReport-inspected versionScope
BlueMap5.7 NeoForgeWeb polygons/details, optional spawns
squaremap1.3.2 NeoForge 1.21.1Web marker layer
JourneyMap6.0.9 / API 2.0.0Client full-map/minimap polygons and labels
Xaero World Map / Minimap1.47.0 / 26.6.0Client town highlighting via internal mixins

These are compile-only integrations, not bundled map dependencies. Inspected BlueMap and squaremap builds historically conflicted through bundled libraries; choose one recorded server-map target. Arbitrary newer versions were not checked; Xaero internals are especially version-sensitive.

Map snapshots omit treasury balances, room leases, plot ownership/details and prison dimension. Camps default hidden. World/maps covers generation and privacy settings. Built-in Survey needs no external map.

Verification still needed for the pack

Historical R7 logs report 80 required GameTests in standalone, Afterfall 0.13.0 and Afterfall 0.14.0 environments. This was not rerun by the report or this wiki. Prison tests use a stand-in dimension. Record actual JAR hashes, full mod list, config and each hook outcome, then test currency, claims, materialization, prison needs and cutoff/settlement with real players. The published Afterfall references below were checked for matching contract scope. Reciprocal links and full-pack runtime testing remain with the section owners and orchestrator.

Read the base-mod contracts

The Afterfall section now has published references for API v1 and multiplayer limits, mains and independent power, survival needs, powered computer apps and native communities, claims and jobs. Those pages describe the base mod. This page describes Civic’s conditional bridge; neither is a new combined-pack certification.
