Nation projects and effective standing

A stronger nation needs towns that can support it. Supplies, consent, reserves and continuing standing all matter to development.

Earn national development

NDP is a progression record. A nation retains an achieved level, while its effective standing can fall when current support no longer qualifies. The table is bounded in use by the server’s maximum number of towns per nation.

Qualify contributors and collect supplies

Contributors need 12 civic hours of membership, active/no-assessment-debt standing, minimum town tier, distinct mayors and a mayor with 2 recorded play hours who was recently active. Admin-assigned town levels do not count above Hamlet. Setting a town’s level administratively does not manufacture natural progression evidence.

TargetWhole-project suppliesShare per required townNation reserve days
Confederation64 iron; 64 copper; 256 stone; 128 glassExactly half from each of 23
Federation192 iron; 192 copper; 768 stone; 96 redstoneExactly one third from each of 35
Commonwealth320 iron; 320 copper; 1,280 stone; 160 redstone; 320 glassExactly one fifth from each of 57
Union512 iron; 512 copper; 2,048 stone; 256 redstone; 512 glassExactly one eighth from each of 87

The national reserve is target reserve days × (10 + 2 × member towns) × index. Each contributor separately holds 3 days of its own assessment. Supplies and reserves are separate gates.

Open, approve and complete

The leader selects exactly the required contributors at a Treaty Table in the capital. Each contributing mayor pledges its town’s share; residents deposit at their own Charter Desk. A majority of all member towns, floor(n/2)+1, approves through mayor delegate votes lasting 72 civic hours.

Pledges/votes bind to a roster fingerprint. Membership, capital or mayor changes invalidate stale consent. After verified readiness/hold, the leader confirms at the capital table. Changing contributors currently means canceling/reopening; leader/admin cancellation exists, while majority-vote cancellation is planned. Open-project expiry follows the default 168 civic-hour development setting.

Preserve achieved level through standing loss

Each evaluation checks which achieved tier the current towns can support. Lost support starts default 24-hour grace: capacities remain, but new admissions pause. At expiry the effective level drops, with Compact as floor. Qualified support can automatically restore it without repeating the project. Existing members are not expelled merely because standing falls.

Use nation management for invitations, levies and departures, and town development for the contributing towns’ natural tiers.
