Computers, television and mail
A working screen can offer news, lessons or a little relief. Check the power first, then choose an available app or program.
Powered desktops
A usable powered computer exposes its available apps. Reach and power remain server-checked; a registered button alone does not authorize later actions.

Mail defaults to 50 messages each in Inbox and Sent and loads old mail state. Practice defaults to 30-real-second lessons with five credited lessons per survival day across courses, using per-player state and the survivor learning service.
The 11 computer contexts are Home, Office, Police, Clinic, Lab, Utility, Garage, School, Shop, Military and Generic. Their specialization courses differ; Generic has none. The full source-definition rows are retained in supporting tables for page 38.
Television
TVs need power. Built-in schedules, emergency broadcasts and skill programming can work without external video. Home Skills Hour awards configured XP for completed viewing segments within the supported radius and daily cap; standing near an unpowered set is insufficient.
Recorded external media shares a world timeline for pause, resume, seeking and late joins. Each client decodes it, so synchronization is approximate. Live streams do not gain recorded-video seeking. Full-screen Space/Left/Right controls the timeline; Esc exits.
For linked video and YouTube, the supplied setup calls for WaterMedia 3.0.0.23 plus WaterMedia: Binaries 3.0.0.6 on every playback client. Follow the media setup guide for the pair and version limits. The optional pair is not required on the Afterfall dedicated server. The reports did not launch this exact pair or rebuild Afterfall’s downloadable build.
If the game’s sound system is unavailable, TV can still try to show a silent picture. Its built-in emergency broadcast remains separate from linked playback.

Add-on apps
ComputerApps permits an add-on to register an app ID, localized name, icon and opener. The base mod does not automatically provide a Market app. The hook returned in 0.9.1 after being absent from 0.9.0. Registration by the installed Civic Frontier binary and exact-pair runtime operation remain unverified here.
Computer context definitions
The final field is the offered specialization. Other source parameters are retained without assigning undocumented meanings.
