Farming, seasons and camping
A sheltered bed and a planted crop are only the start. Watch the season, temperature and water before counting on a harvest.
Temperature and shelter
The year has four seasons of 28 survival days: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Biome, season, time and weather affect temperature, warmest at 14:00 and coldest at 02:00. Roof and walls pull the temperature one quarter of the way toward 20 °C. A glass roof adds 4 °C in daylight; a nearby lit heat source adds 10 °C indoors.
Severe weather is announced one survival hour ahead and lasts about four hours. Winter snow settles outside. The Nether profile is a constant 55 °C; the End is cold in the open. Protect the survivor and crops under the enabled profile/settings.
Grow and harvest
- Place a crop plot or supported furniture planter. A plot holds four plants; a planter one.
- Add an eligible seed, moisture and fertility. Rain, nearby water or hand watering supply moisture; composting spoiled food makes fertilizer.
- Inspect the plot panel for the reason a crop stalls. Temperature, moisture and fertility all matter.
- Harvest through the supported action once mature; use the displayed crop state as the success check.
The report lists bean, cabbage, tomato, potato and medicinal herb, with their seed/output and growth parameters retained in the supporting tables for page 68. Crop-specific temperature ranges are 10–32 °C for bean, 8–28 cabbage, 15–32 tomato, 8–28 potato and 12–30 medicinal herb.
Food away from a plot
Baited fishing traps in water and snares on open ground can catch once per survival day. Foraging, fishing and wildlife provide alternatives, bounded by local population, eligibility and settings. They do not guarantee food at every placement.
A tent needs a clear, level 3×4 patch and packs through its supported break action. Sleeping bags provide portable rest while the world continues. Neither makes an exposed campsite safe by itself.
Seed-line exhaustion, new preservation buildings, pump-only lasting water and expanded sanitation remain proposals. Current natural-water bottle/canteen filling is dirty; follow water treatment.
Admin & server owner reference
Exact identifiers, original fields and source locators are preserved below. These records describe the documented mod version; they are not commands to run or proof of a new gameplay test.
Crop definition rows
Rows preserve crop ID, seed ID, harvest ID and the report’s growth parameters in order. The final two values are the documented temperature range; unnamed fields remain source parameters rather than invented yield guarantees.
