Sealed habitats, domes and claims
Seal the room before trusting its air. Check the Habitat Core and Dome Monitor, then provide enough air and temperature control for the enclosed space.
These guides describe the October 23, 2026 development version. The older download with the same version number is missing later features.

Establish a sealed room
A Habitat Core scans an enclosure and supports shelter and claims. Larger domes add trees, Air Generators, Heaters, Coolers and a Dome Monitor. Default scanning covers up to 32,768 enclosed cells within 64 blocks on each axis. Large enclosures are checked gradually, so wait for the Dome Monitor’s result before relying on the room.
Iron doors, iron trapdoors and the mod’s sealing doors can preserve an enclosure. The player guide identifies wooden doors, panes, bars and fences as leaks. Read the Dome Monitor’s seal result and leak position before relying on air or temperature regulation; glass appearance alone proves neither.
Supply the volume
| Provider | Reported default support |
|---|---|
| Qualifying tree | Approximately 500 volume cells; needs enough logs and leaves |
| Air Generator | Eight qualifying trees’ equivalent |
| Powered core | 1,000 regulated cells |
| Heater or Cooler | 2,000 regulated cells, reduced in extremes |
These are server-configured capacities. The monitor reports air and temperature and supports comparator output. Placing an Oxygen Condenser beside a core does not automatically insert canisters: the report found no shared oxygen capability for that transfer. A Protection Field’s shelter does not supply air.
Claims and teams
Claims and teams control breaking, building and container access. Roles include pilot, builder, operator and visitor. Ship access can follow owner/team relationships; pets do not inherit a complete team permission system.
In outbreak regions, a claimed sealed habitat with working decontamination can halve nearby attack budgets. Clean-claim protections against deliberate contamination, natural regional spread and this safe-haven reduction are different rules. A claim does not guarantee immunity to all nearby outbreaks.
See life support, facility networks and regional recovery. This section’s claims are Beyond the Overworld’s own system; no shared claim service with the other mods is established.

Exact settings and original wording
Default scanning covers up to 32,768 enclosed cells within 64 blocks on each axis, sharing 2,048 scan cells per tick across the server. Large rescans complete over time.
